Repairing wood damaged by pets!
Repairing wood damaged by pets. Secrets to wood repair revealed!
Dogs, Cats and even kids can easily and quickly damage wood trim and furniture and this is my quickest method for repairing it!
I regularly find myself repairing damage caused by tenants and their pets. Most of the time, it can be easily repaired. I have many methods but this is one of the quickest.
Items used in video
Timbermate wood filler - (Note you can get this in natural, white or other matching wood such as oak or pine to speed the blending of the repair - I like to keep natural, oak, pine and walnut on hand to cover most repairs)

I was asked about my Little Giant Sentinel ladder and realized I have had it for over 2 years and never shared a long term review! This 12' ladder is also a work platform with the extra wide top steps and work tray. Overall I have been very pleased, check out the video and let me know if you have any questions.

Distressing wood - How to make new wood look old
Thank you so much for this video. Super helpful and well-presented. Your time and effort is most appreciated!
I got one a few months ago I no longer use it I found it far under powered and the hand guard bit holder at the front stopped me from getting to certain areas. It's a shop tool not job site tool
I would suggest you try different bit holders or chucks on the front, I use this drill primarily on the job site 95% of the time and it always delivers
Sanding is the best part
The track isn't sucured on the hinge side. It's flopping up and down as the cut is made
about any moulding to cover the corner??
Dude, you are a legend. I've probably watched 1.5 hours worth of crown moulding installation videos tonight and came out of each one of them with more questions than I did going into it. You explained everything perfectly. I particularly appreciate the info on measuring to the wall side and how to do a mid wall joint.
Can you install crown molding on a room with a cathedral ceiling design and find the angle if possible! Thanks a lot. Your video is so helpful!
I love your cat & dog helpers ❤
Beautiful video - you slowly and carefully with great detail, explained exactly how to do crown molding for someone who has never even done it. Even a professional could learn something from you.!
And how much weight can it support just something close I liked for my dishes and very nice you are professional
Link to product?
Can you please share what wood size you used and the paint you used?
Can this be used to polish concrete?
Thanks man just got a trailer will be using your system to get more work done💪💪💪
I didn’t even know festool made some of the stuff you’ve got
Do you have a video/document on how to build this?
Holy crap that’s a deal!
Does it have a 80 grit attachment?
Did this replace the ras 115? I loved that grinder
Could I use the gold attachment for sanding a log home? What is the equivalent grit on it?
I would say 20 grit, I love sanding wood with it, high rpm and great dust collection, smooth balanced and stable
That hump goes all the way into the driveway 👎
That part didn't matter just the part where the door closed and this addressed it perfectly
I keep my daily router bits in my mini systainer, was the perfect solution.
That's a great idea
How much weight can it hold?
A lot more than will ever be placed on it, 75 pounds at least as a light as estimate but would not be surprised to see it hold 150 to 200
Or you could use a cheetah ☝️
What about for metal on a bike?
Glad someone in this business has time for that ! That’s why I watch it as I am working? Entertainment !
It's a worth while time investment without a doubt but for anyone in the trades, the more busy you are the quicker the payoff in productivity savings.
@@fultonfinewoodworks your 100% correct! I hv begun to organize my van (my 1st van a Ford 3/4 ton 2021 w/a 10’ bed! ). And I seen Spencer’s Lewis , Casey Knipps, and now yours! I think your #1 Casey is on your heals brother! Then there is little old Kings Custom Finish Carpentry! But I am maybe a touch older than you and I am just having a blast now! I am ok (because Christ has blessed me) so I work because I enjoy working ! I can tell you love your work also !
27 degrees is half of 94??
This video was posted 2 years ago, your going to have to give me more than that, I don't recall that info being in there.
@fultonfinewoodworks hi, sorry i thought you mentioned that the corner wasn't or never is at 90 degrees, so you mentioned the true angle which was more than 90 , but you said half the true angle was 27 i think
Great setup. I had a similar van then changed everything from Systainer to Tstak to take advantage of the drawers. So tedious (and expensive) to change but worth it in the end 😂
I just noticed that the cordless MIDI doesn't have the 120 volts plug outlet socket on it's front like the corded version does. I guess the bluetooth remote control works just as well? What a great and extremely helpful review. Thanks
A cheap method with very expensive equipment.
It's why I say same method can be used using wooden dowels and a drill, this is just faster
@@fultonfinewoodworks I must have missed that part. Thank you. I will give that a try. Cutting and using the same board really is a great method compared to what I’ve seen on RUclips for making floating shelves.
amazing and simple
What the load bearing on it. I see the sys Vac. What about the Festool Table saw (battery version).? Can the sysrack carry that load?
I am not sure of the exact load rating but I have every type of weight in mine including the table in the bottom middle for a year and no issues, it's very strong
@@fultonfinewoodworks thanks mate! ill give it a go (but on valchromat) - the colored MDF.. or HDF really.
HOW CAN YOU CUT NESTED CROWN OR VERTICAL BASEBOARD WITH SUCH A SHORT FENCE?
It for sure needs a add on taller fence for doing larger crown, I just use a wider board and screw in from the back
@@fultonfinewoodworks THANKS. SO WHAT IS THE CROWN NESTED AND BASEBOARD VERTICALLY CAPACITY THAT WAY?
I would LOVE IT if festool added corded options to their cordless tools (especially for saws). Dewalt does this with some of their cordless tools and it's one of the best features to have. I just wanted to add. Whenever a Festool battery kicks the bucket, you'll have to fork over $140 to replace it.
It would be a nice feature but at the same time when the performance is the same, it's nice to not ever have to deal with the cords, especially when working mobile. I am not concerned with the battery life, 3 year warranty on it and I am still using my oldest batteries from drills that are around 8 years old, have never had one die. Can't say that about my Bosch ones for sure.
@@fultonfinewoodworks Most definitely. Also, great honest review here. Thanks so much for sharing this video with us.
Will that miter gauge work with every miter saw or just Festool
It will work with any saw, it's helps to line it up when the saw has a shadow line or laser however
Starrett Plastic Miter Protractor Angle Finder with Two Laser Engraved Scales is the same thing and smaller so you can actually carry it.
I have that as well, they are similar but not the same. It's great for when you need to know the actual angle, what I like about this one is the angle doesn't matter just line it up on the dotted line
@@fultonfinewoodworksso between those 2 miter gauges which would you recommend???
Im looking at pulling the trigger on a 144" wheel base sprinter and thus video sealed the deal, exactly what i plan to do. As a gc and own a rental property i so probably similar things so this set up would be almost perfect for. Great video and thanks for posting it.
So glad it helped, you can't go wrong with the 144, I still have plenty of unused space and it's a comfortable daily driver and very reliable?
Can you cut crown moulding like the 120?
That is a great video, I’m planning to do a tour of my mobile wood shop and I got some great ideas from yours thanks. I do have a couple short videos on my trailer
Glad it was helpful! It's a always changing process for sure but every change makes it better, I love to watch tour videos for ideas as well for ideas. I encourage you to put it out there and let me know when it's posted!
Only negative when doing a comparison make sure that both the saw depths are set the same.
What climate do you live in? I’ve always thought about doing this, but I’m afraid the extreme heat in the summer and cold in the winter will kill them. I mean I’m on ridgid so it doesn’t matter they replace them for free, but still. Like I remember hearing NEVER to leave your good batteries in the hot or cold pickup truck always bring them inside
I live in Kentucky we have a 100 degree temp swing during the seasons, I have never had an issue, I never bring them in during winter (Bosch and Festool batteries mainly)
Where can I buy this ?
Thanks
Why would you cut at full depth and lowest rpm on the TS? I'm sure the TSV is better when it comes to cut quality, but a fair comparison with the TS tuned the way it's supposed to would have been nice. I'd also be interested in how that TS handles melamine if you do a 1mm pre cut. Love the rest of the videos!
The 55 can do better with a 1mm precut and or by placing tape down but what I wanted to show was 1 pass comparisons of both saws - even with the tape and pre pass it does not compare to the TSV it's razor sharp literally touch it and your cut!
I finally can cope!
So glad, with practice it gets easier!
Very Good Information, excellent tutorial.
Thanks, so glad it helped! I have a part 2 on my to do list for the near future
Does it have a hammer function??
No, the TPC 18/4 does however
Me too but that's not a door jamb
It's casing but I also have a jamb extension attached to it
Fricken amazing
You can tell he’s a festool fanboy when he uses $100 instead of a $0.01 piece of copy paper. He does everything the most expensive way possible. 😂
Would you of watched it, if it was just a piece of paper?
